2007
Details is all we have to work out on this beauty, a rat rod or incomplete
no more Mark done made himself a show car!! Check it out this year at
most local venues and you can call the shop for more info on where you can
check out this '49 in person.
Mark has had this car for a long time, it started as a high school shop
project. He brought the '49 to Jerry in 1983 to finish up the trunk section
form the
previous owner who started the initial sectioning of the car. Continually
put on the back burner due to many other projects, Mark has taken on the
progress has been slow. 2005 we prepped the car for the San Francisco Rod
& Custom show for entry in the Custom Suede category. What a head
turner! This 1949 has been sectioned, top removed, and stretched 11 inches.
Wheel well openings have been bulged and flared. Under the hood lies a, 350
Chevy TPI with a 400 Turbo tranny coupled to a 10 bolt Chevy rear end.
Unfortunately, Mark was unable to be at the shop for the initial firing up
of the engine as the sun south of the border was calling. We left him a
voice mail with a message form his exhaust system. Sounds cool...!!
