Mark brought in this car body for his son to learn how to build a car form
the ground up, having learned the same process 23 years ago with Jerry.
Mark's voice echoes in my mind, "... Yeah, I figure it will take about
$3000.00 to get it running...", many thousands of dollars later the car
is indeed running. It's maiden voyage to Billetproof (2003) &
(2004), Paso
Robles (2004 & 2005), San Francisco Rod & Custom (2004 & 2005) , Goodguys Pleasanton
(2004), Hayward Zucchini Festival (2004), Danville Chamber Commerce (2004) and
various places in between. I hear this father and son team try to beat
each other home from work to see who is going to get cruise this daily
driver, because what kind of dude cruises with another dude in his rod.
(Mark's a bit phobic about that) For a while there, Mark was pleased to say that
his"...balance is Zero". ................then he
started working on his '49 again!!
